We are proud to announce the 10th International ÖLÜDENIZ AIR GAMES Festival which takes place from the 14th – 18th October 2009 in the unspoilt seaside resort of Öludeniz, Turkey.
Ölüdeniz is a small seaside resort 14 km (9 mi) south of Fethiye in the Mugla Province on the South West coast of Turkey along the Mediterranean Sea to the south and with the high, steep sided Babadağ Mountain.Ölüdeniz remains one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. It has a secluded sandy bay at the mouth of Ölüdeniz on a blue lagoon. The lagoon is a national nature reserve where building is strictly prohibited. Ölüdeniz is an official blue flag beach which is famous for its beautiful turquoise and aquamarine sea and is frequently rated among the top 5 beaches in the world by travelers and Tourism Journals alike. The resort is also famous for its outstanding paragliding opportunities. It is regarded as one of the best places in the world to paraglide due to its unique panoramic views, and the Babadağ Mountain's exceptional height.
The spectacular BABADAĞ and Taurus Mountains, as well as the turquoise Mediterranean waters of this southern Turkey resort, makes Ölüdeniz the best spot for adventure, fun and excitement this October. The rest of Europe is already chilly and miserable by autumn, while here sun, waves and the amazing Belcekiz beach waits for you.
The weather is never below 25degrees, with an 85%-100% flight ability. Even in the second half of October the weather is still mild in Turkey and the fun continues well into autumn.
Like every year, during this year’s AIR GAMES, there will be hundreds of pilots from more than 35 countries and countless non flying participants (families, friends, spectators). The event is getting more and more popular every year as it provides non stop action and fills the expectations of absolutely everyone. It is now the second largest festival of its kind in the world.
Between the 14th and 18th of October you can expect demonstrations of paragliding, skydiving, base-jumping, hangliding, para-motor flights, remote control plane shows, microlites, hard core acrobatic competitions, accuracy landing competitions… Also summer sun, beach and unbelievably turquoise seas are just in front of you… After sunset the action does not stop, chilling out by watching snap-shots from the day in Cloud 9 and parties throughout the whole of Ölüdeniz. Music, drinks, dancers and entertainment are here to enjoy until the crack of dawn..
For the third year running the Turk Yıldızları (Turkish Stars) will be taking part in this years’ AIR GAMES, their show jet planes and pilots put on a spectacular air display which should not be missed.
All are welcome to the Air Games in Ölüdeniz; this is the event for everyone from spectators to hard core acrobatic pilots. Also beginners are welcome as there will be a great opportunity to meet all other air sports lovers, exchange opinions, and make friends…
We work closely with international journalists, and have websites, blogs and magazines to promote our festival each year and the articles, videos and related materials are circulated world wide before, during and for a long time after the event.

It is becoming increasingly popular for festival goers to arrive early and get in a bit of relaxation or some sky time prior to the opening ceremony. Accommodation in Ölüdeniz is limited and fills up FAST so get in early.
